If you could go one place in the world, where would it be?
Founder & CEO
Belize! I love to travel, but I haven't made it to Belize yet. Anywhere warm and full of history is my kind of destination. It's on my bucket list to see the Mayan ruins, go snorkeling, and take in the culture!
I've traveled through Europe a few times and now see myself visiting some countries in the South Pacific. I'd also like to see more of the U.S!
We’re a mother daughter duo that understands the demands of small business owners, because we are small business owners.
At its start, Social Point only offered Facebook Management as a simple and effective way to take pressure off of our small business owners. We’ve expanded our services to now include Digital Marketing and Traditional Advertising, but our founding goal is still the same; your success is our success.
We founded Social Point on the basis of helping our clients be successful business owners by giving them the ability to have time to do what they do best- create, invent, network, be a business owner.
We will always point you in the right direction.
Natalie (the daughter)
I founded Social Point in 2017. Originally, it was run from my college dorm room (think Facebook vibes) because all great things have a small start. Over time things progressed and evolved into the various services we offer today.
After finishing up my sophomore year of college I decided to take a year off. During that year I grew Social Point to what it is today, and I believe that growth has come from my passion for engaging with clients and seeing their success.
I'm fresh to the marketing world professionally, but I've been at my mom's unofficial assistant for years. I used to re-design newspaper ads when they weren't up to my standards (it was with Crayola crayons and looseleaf paper).
I'll return to school in fall 2019 to pursue a Masters of Business at The University of Maryland.
Yvonne (the mother)
A Mother, Marketer, Foodie, and Social Butterfly!
I’ve worked in the Marketing & Sales industry for over 30 years and take pride in helping others achieve success. I’ve held several marketing, sales and project management positions through the years in the Greater DC area and was a small business owner, myself. I moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 1994 and developed a great appreciation for the lifestyle it offers and was fortunate to stay home with my daughter as she was growing up. Having a background in marketing & project management, I volunteered for school activities, the community, and church organizations.
I later returned to a professional position with a local publisher as a marketing manager and for the last 10 years I've worked with independent business owners, government organizations and nonprofits to develop promotions, budgets and execute marketing campaigns. As a past small business owner, myself, I realize the value of contractual partnerships and respect the relationships I’ve developed.
So, fast forward... My daughter grew up and started her own small business. As she was shaping Social Point she realized a need to include additional client services and wanted to expand the business from freelance Social Media Manager to an inclusive Digital Management Company. In 2018... I joined Social Point as a partner and brought experienced project management, website marketing, and programmatic digital services. Hence, we became Social Point Media & Marketing and my daughter made me her official assistant! The combination of our skills has allowed us to broaden our services and provide attention to the overall client goals using current trends, innovative campaign ideas and multi-platforms.
When I’m not cooking up ideas for clients, I’m usually in my kitchen making new recipes for my family and laughing over a glass of Chardonnay. I love to travel, meet new people, and learn about new cultures and lifestyles.
